Statement of Faith

Each member of the Sunrise Beach School Board of Directors, and any employee of Sunrise Beach School, having accepted Jesus Christ as personal Savior, shall affirm in writing to the following Statement of Faith:

✞ We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God, without error in the original writings (2Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21). The 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are the unique, inspired, and final authority. (2 Corinthians 13:14)

✞ We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of deity and the characteristics of personality.

✞ We believe that all people have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) and that for the salvation of lost and sinful people regeneration by the indwelling Holy Spirit through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ is absolutely essential. (Luke 19:10, Titus 3:5)

✞ We believe in the deity and virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ (Isaiah 7:14), that He died upon the cross as a proxy sacrifice for the sins of the world, that He rose bodily from the dead and ascended into Heaven, whence he will come attain to take the believers to heaven. (Thessalonians 4:16-17, John 14:3)

✞ We believe that only by God’s grace through faith alone we are saved. It is impossible for people, in whole or in part through works to save them- selves through human works. (John 3:16-19, Ephesians 2:8-9)
